There’s lots of exciting news to report. After a long and successful
relationship with Image Entertainment, our series of Special Edition DVDs
finally comes to an end. It was an honor and privilege to work with Image, they
helped put SWV on the map and gave us the opportunity to expose our videos to a
new, unadulterated audience. Image encouraged us to create some of the best pop
culture time capsules we could from our extensive library and archive. The 150+
titles we released through Image will stay in print and be available for many
years to come!
SWV marches into the 21st century by offering even more of our catalog on the
DVD-R format. We hope to have everything available on DVD-R by the end of 2008.
I’m also thrilled to announce that there’s a faster turnaround time on all
orders (due to new high speed duplication equipment).
And in an attempt to entice you to collect more videos, we’ve put over 600 FREE
previews up on our website; plus You Tube users can find over 300 of our clips
there under SomethingWeirdDotCom
Our SOMETHING WEIRD ON DEMAND channel on Comcast digital cable is growing by
leaps and bounds and is now in over 15 million homes nationwide. The amount of
our content and shows has doubled per month, and we have created two brand new
series for Comcast, called The Best of Bad Cinema and Exploitica, which cleverly
use our films in hilarious and inventive new ways.
And last but not least, we are officially reducing our VHS and DVD-R retail
prices to $10 each (plus postage) to entice you to collect even more of our fine
product!
