Scotland Yard investigates a series of brutal murders. It seems all of the victims have a strange circular mark around their necks, possibly caused by a noose or a blunt blade.
In true detective film fashion, we'll discover that this is all a vast plot of revenge involving murder, as the result of past transgressions committed.
Lo-key detective fiction with a twist, Crimson Circle is among the prolific series of German-produced EDGAR WALLACE thrillers that began to in the late fifties and continued up to the early seventies. Taken from the 1922 novel of the same title, the film is the second made in the Edgar Wallace series on German soil, and one of the rarest entries to be available in an English language version as well.
